Good morning from Paul, Dave, and Alun!
H&T (HAT) Interview
My interview with CEO Chris Gillespie of H&T (HAT) was published yesterday evening. I thought it went very well, he’s easy to talk to, and gave direct replies to all questions.
For someone like me who flits about constantly, reviewing over 700 companies (half the UK market!) each year, it was great to take a breather and properly focus on one company. I learned some interesting new things about HAT, that people who’ve done more in-depth research would probably already know.
I’ve invited Chris back again to go through the latest numbers when they’re published in about a fortnight. It’s premium subscriber content now, but I’ll convert it over to a free article in a week or so. Only fair to give the paying customers first dibs, as it costs me time & money to create all this content.
Hopefully I should soon have a 3rd writer joining our little team here, which should free me up to create more unbiased, independent CEO interviews - remember I deliberately don’t take any payment from companies, because I work for you, not them! Also I only ever interview companies that I think are good - so there’s no ramping of speculative dross here. Obviously that’s not a guarantee of success with the shares, but it’s a jolly good head-start.
Guest writers
If you’re a good writer, an experienced & successful investor, and know your stuff about shares, and are aligned with my value/GARP (growth at reasonable price) writing style, then by all means contact me to see if you could do some guest writing here (for a modest fee).
I’m open to the idea of trying out some new writers in addition to me & Dave, particularly at busy times, so we can cover more shares in the SCVRs without so much pressure. It really needs a team of 3-5 writers to cover lots of shares quickly at the busy times, so calling in reinforcements at busy times is something I’m keen to do.
Also other ad hoc articles (which I don’t usually pay for) is another idea, where I’m happy to publish the best ones.
End of free section.
