Alun’s on holiday.

Good morning from Paul & Dave!

Today’s report is now finished (at 13:53)

Extremely quiet for news today, so we’re going to pick up on a couple of items from yesterday. Incidentally, I’ve added some more detail to yesterday’s report, with new or expanded comments on Bellway (GREEN), Entain (RED), Dunelm (GREEN), and the perplexingly bad takeover deal recommended by Crimson Tide management. Plus an ominous c.50% plunge from CMO (RED) - expect a deeply discounted placing imminently, in the leaky ship that is AIM nano caps.

Dunelm (DNLM)

Subscriber DavidA has just been on the email, reminding me that Dunelm pays a special divi most years. I’d forgotten about that, and recall now that some brokers include the special divis in forecasts, and some don’t.

Looking back at the last year, it paid a total of 79p in 3 divis (interim, special & final), which looks an established pattern so likely to continue. Therefore at the current 988p/share the dividend yield is 8.0% - even more attractive than the broker consensus figure I picked up yesterday of 6.3%. Thanks for pointing this out DavidA!
